The Dillon Quirke Foundation is delighted to announce Abbott as our inaugural strategic charity partner for 2024 and 2025.
The dedicated employees of Abbott are passionately committed to fundraising efforts that will enable the Dillon Quirke Foundation to provide free cardiac testing for teenagers, aged 15-18, who actively engage in sports clubs, within a 20km radius of the Abbott site located in Clonmel.
These life-saving screenings would not be possible without generous supporters like Abbott.
A Shared Vision: Saving Lives Together
The Dillon Quirke Foundation is on a mission to provide free screening for 10,000, or more, young people each year, and our partnership with Abbott will play a pivotal role in making this vision a reality. While our screenings are provided free of charge, each screening costs approximately €100. This means we need to raise over €1 million per year to reach our ambitious target. With Abbott’s support, we can expand our reach and safeguard countless lives.
Abbott support is turning potential into reality. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their invaluable support and look forward to partnering with them over the next two years.
Deirdre Mullins, Clonmel Senior Site Director, Abbott, on the announcement, "We are delighted to announce a new partnership between Abbott and the Dillon Quirke Foundation, a charity close to the hearts of our Clonmel Employees. This collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to the community, as we look forward to hosting a series of fundraising events aimed at providing free cardiac testing for local teenagers”.
Dan Quirke, Dillon’s Dad, and Founder of the Dillon Quirke Foundation, expressed his gratitude, saying, “The Dillon Quirke Foundation is deeply grateful to Abbott for their decision to partner with us. Abbott’s dedication to fundraising is a testament to the power of community, generosity, and partnership.”
